A language of the Oscan subgroup. The Paelignian corpus consists of about 65 inscriptions (Wallace 2007:2). Besides coin inscriptions, they are mainly epitaphs, where most of the text comprises of names of the deceased. Among these, one example of adjective valence is found, in the text of a Paelignian funerary inscription Pg 12 (see the table of individual lexeme).
